Back in March I was commissioned by Harper's Magazine to shoot for a story on urban planner Eymund Diegel and his fascinating project mapping the ghost streams running underneath Gowanus. These streams are vestiges of the original watershed and to this day still flow through sewers, basements and underground passages, unbeknownst to locals walking above them. I couldn't ask for a more fun assignment releveant to my personal work and thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to further explore Gowanus.
